Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Staff Assistant for the Camden Residential Supervised and Community Support Service Program at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
Performs a wide variety of administrative and support services for the Residential Supervised and Community Support Service Program. Assists in the planning and support of program activities. Coordinates office operations for the programs.
Assists in maintaining department accounts, monitoring expenditures and ensuring compliance with budgets.
Manages documentation related to contracts and professional service agreements.
Maintains the rental voucher tracking and reporting and the monthly rental logs.
Coordinates and maintains the department calendar.
Undertakes routine writing and editing assignments, generates correspondence for signature and maintains mailing lists.
Receives and assists consumers and visitors and handles telephone calls in a tactful and professional manner.
Completes appropriate internal paperwork (paper and electronic) required by the office, UBHC and the University.
Prepares timesheets for Employee Assistance Program (EAP) staff and monitors/reconciles accruals.
Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, Public or Business Administration, the Social Sciences or a related field plus one year of professional level experience in a business office, government agency, or university setting.
Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated excellent computer, communication, customer service and organizational skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office package (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Knowledge of procurement procedures and policies.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Position requires standing to 1/3 of the time, walking under 1/3 of the time, sitting to 2/3 of the time, reaching with hands and arms up to 2/3 of the time, climbing or balancing under 1/3 of time, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling under 1/3 of the time, talking or hearing over 2/3 of the time and lifting up to 10 pounds less than 1/3 of the time.
Valid driver's license required.
Must possess own vehicle or alternate means of transportation to travel between the office and residential sites.
