The Mergers & Acquisitions Department (M&A) is responsible for structuring and executing a wide range of complex domestic and cross-border transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, spin-offs, joint-ventures, asset swaps and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts. The group works in close partnership with the firm's Industry Coverage groups including (but not limited to) Healthcare, Consumer & Retail, Transportation, Industrials and Business Services.
We are currently seeking a Vice President (experienced Associates will be considered) to join our IBD Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team based in Hong Kong. Successful candidates will become one of our key members to execute a diverse range of M&A transactions while working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Manage and lead execution of complex M&A and capital markets transactions
Lead day-to-day project management together with clients and other working parties, including lawyers and accountants
Lead financial, valuation and strategic analysis and develop key messages
Manage and maintain high-level client relationships
Preparing and delivering client presentation in a clear and compelling research
Drafting marketing materials including offering memoranda and engaging in negotiation activities
Acting as a mentor and role model to Analyst and junior Associates in the team
Have at least 5 years of IBD work experience with proven record in executing/leading M&A transactions from other financial institutions (candidates from sector coverage teams with M&A transaction experience will also be considered)
Strong academic background with a track record of success
Fluency in both English and Mandarin is essential
Strong quantitative, analytical and modeling skills with sound knowledge of financial, accounting and operational concepts
Commitment to excellence and delivery of highest quality work product
Excellent client relationship skills and interpersonal skills
