Department/Unit Summary:
Vanderbilt's Walk-In Clinics in Franklin, Cool Springs, and Spring Hill join a growing number of Vanderbilt Walk-In Clinics in Bellevue, Brentwood, Franklin, Spring Hill, and Belle Meade. These clinics provide high quality health care services in a location convenient for many. A board-certified Vanderbilt physician and nurse practitioners are always on site, and no appointments are necessary. We offer advanced services such as EKG, lab and X-rays, with immediate results. The Vanderbilt Walk-In Clinic saves patients' time and possibly a trip to the Emergency Room by taking care of common illnesses and minor injuries, including allergies, infections, sore throats and stomach bugs. Screening, testing and preventative services available include breathing treatments, drug screenings, pregnancy testing, TB skin testing, and vaccinations. Physicals needed for adoptions, camps, or sports, the Department of Transportation and pre-employment are also offered.
Your Role:
In your role as an LPN in the Vanderbilt Nolensville Walk-In Clinic, you will work alongside the providers including physicians and nurse practitioners. You will greet and room patients, answer messages, refill scripts, draw blood, take vital signs, read EKG's, and generally support the clinical practice. You could also provide point of care testing, ear irrigations, IV therapy, sutures, and treat lacerations. Many of our LPNs tell us they enjoy this position in our Walk-In Clinics because of the variety of skills they use which provides them with the opportunity to stay sharp and up-to-date.
Shifts for this position:
This PRN position will float between the Franklin, Cool Springs, and Spring Hill locations as needed. For the PRN role, the LPN will work at least one 12-hour shift per week; flexibility to work additional hours as needed is required, including weekend hours (clinic is open 8-5 on Saturday/Sunday)
Position Qualifications:
Required:
· Graduate of an approved LPN program
· 1 year1 of experience or the equivalent
Preferred:
Previous clinic experience desired, but not required.
