GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as the company liaison for DCAA and DCMA supporting both audits and inquiries related to forward pricing proposals, disclosure statements, incurred cost proposals, cost impacts, and monthly/quarterly reporting. Oversee the cost control systems, manage and interpret cost audits and prepare cost accounting reports for presentation to top management. Support the establishment and maintenance of US Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) disclosure statements and management of related administration requirements. Ensure all applicable laws, regulation and other obligations are observed when business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Continually assess ongoing processes to identify areas of improvement. Establish training for company personnel in government accounting related matters including accurate labor charging, travel accounting, FAR cost allowability and indirect rate development. Ensure work is performed in accordance to established operating procedures and practices.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or a related field; a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education. An MBA in accounting or finance, CPA or CMA certification, major accounting firm experience, and/or experience negotiating accounting issues with government agencies is strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 5 or more years of progressively complex experience in finance/accounting with a minimum of 3+ years in management. Prior experience working in a government contractor environment.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint. Demonstrated comprehensive accounting management and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones is required. Familiar with current financial management software, preferably Oracle.

Knowledge of data analysis techniques and methodology. Knowledge of the concepts, principles and practices of accounting, budgeting and cost control procedures. Knowledge of and ability to apply the concepts, principles and practices of change management.
