The Chief Technology Officer and Head of Design & Development (D&D) will join LUMA’s leadership team and play a central role in defining our technology strategy and executing on our product development goals.
What will I do?
Define a technical/data architecture that supports both our short-term and long-term strategic aims.
Working with other leadership in Business Growth, Marketing and D&D, define a product development roadmap that meets evolving customer and business needs.
Lead the team responsible for the design & development, release cycles and maintenance of our SaaS offering, LUMA Workplace (lumaworkplace.com).
Provide strategic guidance and technical oversight to the D&D team members. Help them translate strategic business directives into product development goals and execute on them.
Improve our processes. Look for ways to accelerate workflows, collaborate effectively and ensure that our offerings are useful, usable, desirable and reliable.
Shape a work environment where all members of the D&D team are healthy, happy and doing the best work of their lives.
Establish and manage technical and data security standards, compliance with data privacy regulations such as the General Data Privacy Regulation, customer audits, and other data security needs as they arise.
Provide technical and security oversight in support of our business growth opportunities and enterprise sales of our SaaS offering.
What skills and experience do I need?
Minimum five years of progressive technology leadership and product management experience.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. MS or MBA strongly preferred.
Proven background with SaaS implementation and a minimum of 5 years leadership experience.
Hands-on and management experience with software development, and data security.
Ability to conceive and build a scalable technology foundation.
Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
Systems thinking. Ability to lead efforts to imagine, conceive, and build out solutions with an eye toward preexisting and/or imminent systems.
Design thinking. Ability to facilitate good collaboration and productive conversations. You also know how to gather user feedback and data driven metrics and use them to understand our customers better and improve our systems.

You are comfortable both giving and receiving constructive feedback.
You have considerable experience working alongside or directing UX and service designers
You are a connoisseur of good jokes and bad puns and are in general a delight to hang out with.
You have some visual communication skills.
You have experience with data science and predictive analytics.
