The College of Business is seeking an MBA Recruiter. This is a full-time 1.00 FTE, 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Dean.
The person in this position, under the direction of the Associate Director – MBA Recruitment and in collaboration with leadership in the College of Business, is responsible for the coordination, planning, support and execution of the College's MBA recruiting activities and processes. Specifically, this position is responsible for the duties below:
Planning, organizing, coordinating, executing and evaluating activities and projects supporting the MBA recruiting activities of the OSU College of Business. Includes project proposals, plans, timetables, communication and resource allocation.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders at OSU Ecampus and the OSU Graduate School, as well as College of Business staff representing MBA academic advising, data support, and marketing and communication to build out and execute the College's MBA recruiting plan.
Building relationships with external stakeholders in businesses, NGO's, higher education institutions, government entities, and other external entities with the objective of ultimately increasing the number of high-quality applicants enrolling into the college's MBA and graduate certificate programs.
Representing the College at MBA recruiting events. The position serves as a contact for prospective MBA students to learn more about the admission process and the College itself.
Organizing and hosting events aimed at recruiting MBA students.
Attending networking events hosted by targeted businesses, professional organizations, non-profits, and colleges and universities.
Manages projects within the MBA recruiting program budget, including tracking, monitoring and reporting expenditures.
Resolving issues involving resource constraints by seeking alternative solutions and adjusting schedules as necessary.
Identifying solutions to improve routine MBA business processes; prepares associated documentation and end-user training as needed.
As requested, the position identifies appropriate data necessary for reporting; prepares information; formats for presentations as requested.
This position includes activities primarily in Portland with some expected travel to Corvallis. Other travel expected to additional locations within Oregon and occasional travel to other areas from which the college recruits students.
Typically requires Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited not-for-profit college or university in discipline of choice. 1 year experience related to assigned responsibilities.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
One to two years of full-time professional experience related to college admission, student recruitment at a regionally accredited two-year or four-year college or university, college/university development, or recruitment at a business.
Related experience must include demonstrable and frequent experience speaking to small and large groups and extensive public contact.
Experience demonstrating excellent networking skills including the ability to enter and conduct conversations effortlessly, building relationships, and following up with those met.
Two years project management experience and demonstrable event planning experience with close attention to detail.
Demonstrable experience in creating and conducting presentations and possess excellent oral and written communications skills.
Proficiency utilizing current Microsoft Office software, LinkedIn, and other relevant tools.
The position also requires the possession of a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel extensively, at times with overnight stays, and by varying modes of transportation.
This position requires driving a University vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the University; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle History Check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per OSUSTANDARD 576-056-0000 et seq. Offers of employment are contingent upon meeting all minimum qualifications including the Motor Vehicle Check Requirement.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months.
