The Center for Transportation Equity, Decisions and Dollars (C-TEDD) seeks an experienced professional with strong management, leadership and strategy development skills to serve as Program Manager. The Program Manager will report to the executive director of the C-TEDD and will lead and oversee the day-to-day activities of the center. The Program Manager will be responsible for administering the research and educational programs, managing the financial and human resources, maintaining oversight on all C-TEDD projects, and developing and implementing data collection systems for the C-TEDD’s performance metrics. Additionally, maintaining and supporting relationships with funding agencies, complying with funding agency reporting requirements, developing and implementing data management to comply with federal requirements, coordinating meetings of the executive committee, and assisting the Executive Director in managing the C-TEDD’s activities.
Manage all day-to-day activities of the center, including administering the research and educational programs and managing the events and annual meetings. Managing financial and human resources in connection with the Office of Grants and Contracts and other offices in UTA in Preparing sub agreements, post award management and non-sponsored fund management. Develop and implement data collection systems for the C-TEDD ‘s performance metrics to comply with federal requirements, and coordinate the data collection with the member institutions, and submit required reporting documents to the federal governments. Prepare operations and procedure manuals, center policies, and other written material and documentation as required for C-TEDD. Coordinate with other member institutions on all C-TEDD programs and activities and maintaining oversight on all C-TEDD projects. This position will not have direct reports. Coordinate meetings of the executive committee, and assisting the Director in managing the NCST’s activities. Performs other duties assigned.
Demonstrated experience in managing large, multi-disciplinary projects and adept at time management & task prioritization. Demonstrated skills to envision, implement, and adapt (as necessary) scope of work, budgets, and schedules. Experience using attention to detail and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and other project management software. Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills to explain plans and programs clearly to stakeholders, community groups, technical review committees, public and elected officials, and others. Ability to manage projects effectively and meet firm deadlines.
Master's degree in Planning, or Civil Engineering with a focus on transportation. Three (3) years of experience in transportation two (2) years in a managerial capacity.
Experience in an academic, research or related environment. Experience with UTA policies and systems. Experience managing complex awards and working with a variety of sponsors.
