We are seeking a Computer Systems Support Specialist for Medical Physics and Radiation Oncology departmental systems, applications, data interfaces, new projects and initiatives. The successful candidate will play a leading role in new installations and upgrades of medical imaging, radiation treatment planning and delivery systems; connectivity setup and testing with other clinical and research systems.

You will also:
Serve as project manager to lead information technology (IT) activities that are a part of Medical Physics projects at new and existing regional and affiliate locations
Work with department leaders to identify project goals, resources, stakeholders and timelines for regional projects
Work with stakeholders, Information Systems (I/S) department and vendors to coordinate implementation of data transfer interfaces (DICOM, HL7, FHIR, C-CDA, Web services)
Identify system components, data elements, sources and destinations for transfer
Work with I/S department to ensure that installed systems are compliant with information security policies
Test and validate data transfer across interfaces
Provide systems-related user support to regional campus facilities and affiliates in the NY metropolitan area
Work with users, team members I/S department and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
Maintain user accounts/profiles, network shares and user permissions
Perform system hardware/software maintenance and security updates according to IT policy
Maintain and review application and vendor-remote-access audit logs
Write service/project reports, instruction manuals and system documentation
Have a good driving record and own automobile transportation (usage allowance will be provided
Be willing to work flexible shifts and travel to sites in the NY metropolitan area

Bachelor's Degree; a degree in Computer Information Systems preferred
2-4 years of experience in project management, computer systems installation and support
Strong knowledge of DICOM, DICOM-RT, HL7, FHIR, Web services, C-CDA
Experience with setup and troubleshooting of DICOM interfaces, SCU/SCP roles
Experience in Windows administration and scripting [PowerShell]
Experience in Unix / Linux administration and scripting
Working knowledge of network technology and MAC operating systems
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Visio and MS Project
Knowledge of SQL, Java script, C#, C++, .NET
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience working in a radiology or radiation oncology department is preferred
Experience working with PACS, Varian Aria/Eclipse, or Elekta Mosaic/Monaco is desirable
PMP certification is desirable.
