The Plasma Physics Team of the T-5 Applied Mathematics and Plasma Physics Group in Theoretical Division of Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking candidates for postdoctoral appointments in theoretical and computational plasma physics research. A broad range of research projects are available in tokamak disruption and mitigation, and they target MHD stability and magnetic reconnection, particle and energy transport, atomic physics processes and radiation, runaway electron dynamics, boundary plasma physics, and plasma-material interaction. Although our research is theoretical and computational, close interaction with domestic and international experiments is anticipated. The initial appointment is for two years, with a possible third year extension depending on performance and funding availability.
