Tenure-Track/Tenured Faculty Position in Aerodynamics
The Ohio State University Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering seeks an outstanding scholar with strong background and accomplishments in aerodynamics. This position is an endowed tenure-track or tenured position (Honda Chair) in computational aerodynamics. Preference will be given to applicants at assistant or associate professor level possessing a strong background in computational aerodynamics, but all will be considered. The position will be affiliated with OSU's Aerospace Research Center (ARC) and the new Honda multifunctional aeroacoustic wind tunnel facility located at the Transportation Research Center (TRC), in East Liberty, Ohio.
The Ohio State University already has significant activities in these areas, and the candidates are expected to develop robust fundamental and applied research portfolios to further enhance the university's stature. Strong partnership with Honda will provide opportunities to collaborate on the development of advanced emerging technologies in a multidisciplinary environment. This new wind tunnel facility will be integral to Honda's aerodynamic and aeroacoustic research activities, spanning from advanced research and computational simulations, through scale-model and full vehicle development, to production vehicle performance assurance.

Endowed Tenure-Track or Tenured Position – Computational Aerodynamics
We seek an individual who is an ardent discoverer, passionate teacher, and mentor or has potential to develop into an outstanding scholar, teacher, and mentor. A doctoral degree is required in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or in a related field appropriate to the scope of the position. A successful candidate will be expected to develop and sustain an active sponsored research program, mentor graduate and undergraduate students, teach core undergraduate and/or graduate courses, and develop new graduate courses related to their research expertise. The candidate should have experience in working on diverse research teams and mentoring members of underrepresented groups.
