This position directs a team of professionals in the management, oversight and development of all FedEx Corporation's center of excellence back office systems and programs. Responsible for the overall project management function for all related projects and governance over in-scope systems and programs. Works to establish policies and procedures related to program governance, business process design, system testing and related software change control. Maintains relationship with FedEx IT resources and relevant outsource providers and consulting partners to ensure technical development and support services meet end user requirements and business needs. Maintain positive customer relationships with all operating company customers at all levels of management.
Job Specific Information: This position is responsible for administration, support and governance activities within our CAST Center of Excellence Programs. Works to design and maintain the activities for CAST programs, including:
Providing opportunities for ongoing improvement and expansion to address current needs and expectations
Monitoring and evaluating the program's effectiveness, successes and opportunities periodically and report on them to management
Maintaining a keen understanding of program specific trends, developments, and best practices.
Ensuring positive customer relationships throughout the organization and at all levels of management.
Skills/Knowledge Considered a Plus:
Strong Communication & Analytical Skills
Experience consulting with management at all levels to assess needs/demands and ensure delivery of a timely and cost effective projects and programs
Proficiency in developing and executing complex project/process initiatives across a virtual and/or multi-location environment
Understanding of traditional and modern project management and execution methods to promote a positive change management mentality within an organization
Knowledge of current best-in-class methodologies and practices related to finance shared services
Ability to monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report results to management
Effective in promoting positive customer relationships throughout the organization and at all levels of management
Knowledge or experience in international communication and coordination efforts
Proven track record of leadership
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in accounting, finance, information systems or other related quantitative discipline is required. Five (5) years' experience in the implementation and/or support of major enterprise wide financial systems and/or related programs. A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements. Significant project/process management experience. Extensive experience working in a large customer focused, internal business partner environment. Strong leadership and collaboration building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills. Proven ability to innovate, develop and produce high quality results on a consistent basis.
