Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate w/ Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Originate, structure, analyze, execute and facilitate the distribution of securitization and general asset-based financing transactions for issuers in sectors such as transportation (including aircrafts). Assist with managing live deal execution, including running due diligence processes, negotiating financing documentation, managing rating agency processes, and drafting, organizing and attending deal and non-deal roadshows, and liaising with other investment banks and other parties within the Investment Banking division. Develop fixed income bond structures and have a strong understanding of structured products. Work with senior and junior professionals on presentations prepared for transactions, investment banking pitches and client service projects on aircraft finance topics; work on financial models and draft memoranda required to gain internal approvals from typical investment banking committees. Build complex cash flow models for transportation assets, including aircraft, container, and other shipping assets. Analyze the mechanics of cash flow waterfalls and understand the return and risk of transactions. Work with rating agencies and understand rating criteria. Review legal documents and offering memoranda to identify inconsistencies and model transactions based on operative documents.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics or related fields. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related role in finance working on structured finance products. Must have two (2) years of experience with: working on aircraft asset class as well as ability to transact across products including aircraft securitizations, loans, bonds, and equity syndications; performing origination and structuring of asset-based aircraft financings across various product types including securitizations, loans, and equity syndications; building complex cash flow models for transportation assets, including but not limited to asset-backed products such as aircraft, container and other shipping assets, analyzing the mechanics of cash flow waterfalls and understanding the return and risk of transactions; negotiating transaction documentation and offering memoranda, reviewing all legal documents associated with financing transaction to ensure accuracy and business judgment; demonstrating knowledge of credit rating agency criterion (such as Standard & Poor's, Moody's Investors Service, or Fitch Ratings) and developing or applying rating agency cash flow stresses for various asset classes; and reading legal documents and offering memorandums, identifying inconsistencies and modeling transactions based on operative documents. Must have one (1) year of experience with: using MS Excel/VBA and demonstrating familiarity with Intex platform; and preparing presentations in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel to review transactions with senior bankers, internal committees, rating agencies, investors, management teams and boards of directors. Travel is required 5% of the time for client outreach and investment banking pitches.
