Responsibility and oversight for the coordination of national women’s basketball officiating program, including national coordinator and regional advisors of officials. Serve as staff liaison to and/or support specific groups such as the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Oversight Committee, its’ Competition Committee and Women’s Basketball Committee. Oversight of specific aspects of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship, as assigned.
Oversight of NCAA Divisions I, II and III national officiating programs, including national coordinator and regional advisors of officials. Includes, but not limited to: selection, training, regional officiating clinics, and the overall officiating improvement program.
Serve as liaison to women’s basketball playing rules staff and secretary rules editor.
Staff liaison to and/or support, as directed, specified NCAA governance committees such as the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Oversight Committee, its’ Competition Committee and the Women’s Basketball Committee.
Provide leadership for assigned operations and event management areas of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship and Final Four with host cities and local organizing committees (e.g., transportation and partnership with Anthony Travel, on-site security, volunteers program, manuals).
Support the management and execution of the NCAA Women’s Basketball strategic plan, as assigned (e.g., youth basketball, targeted student-athlete initiatives coach recruitment, retention and development).
Support internal staff operations initiatives (e.g., professional development).
Other duties as assigned by the vice president of women’s basketball.
Seven years of experience in college athletics administration.
Seven years of experience in women’s college basketball, with preferred experience in officiating administration, serving as a coach or women’s basketball administrator.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
The NCAA national office is the staff and the bricks-and-mortar office building in Indianapolis. The 500-plus employees at the national office provide advice and counsel to the governance and playing rules committees, interpret legislation, enforce NCAA bylaws, provide legal advice, run championships, administer education and youth programs and communicate with the NCAA membership and the public.
