Are you looking to change your morning commute? Do you want to be a significant part of a rapidly growing organization on the forefront of physical and operational expansion? Do you want to live and work in a rural setting on the scenic and historical Northern California coast?
Redwood Coast Medical Services, Inc. (RCMS) is seeking to add a full-time Physician Assistant to its established and well-respected Primary and Urgent Care departments in Gualala. RCMS is a not-for-profit health center providing a full range of healthcare services at its three clinic locations in Mendocino County.
The largest of the RCMS health centers is located in Gualala, where primary care, behavioral healthcare and urgent care services are offered. The Urgent Care Department operates as a free-standing ER and RCMS is designated by the state as an Interim Stabilization Facility, allowing the health center to receive ambulance transports. With the closest hospital about 90 minutes away, patients needing transfer from Urgent Care will take either a 2 hour ambulance ride (the longest in the state!) or a 20 minute helicopter ride to either Sutter or Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa. In 2014 a vote of area residents to pass Measure J allowed for a tax levy to cover Urgent Care being open 7 days a week. The comprehensive health services of RCMS are a vital resource for area residents.
The RCMS health centers are surrounded by the natural beauty of the North Coast. With the Pacific Ocean to the west and a coastal mountain range to the east, there is a multitude of outdoor activities to enjoy. Along with over three weeks’ vacation in just your first year, RCMS covers the cost of your health insurance, license renewal, continuing medical education classes and provides free membership to our local gym.
RCMS is committed to achieving excellence in the delivery of health care and recognizes that high quality, motivated employees are the key to accomplishing this goal.
